Jogja, Memory in Rain

Jogja, again. This historical city always makes me fall in love. A week ago, I go to there with my friends from ITS Online. It’s the first time we backpacker far away from Surabaya. Usually, we just spend our holiday in Malang, WBL, and Pacet. That is sweet memory in rain.

This journey started from Lempuyangan Station (Yes,, economy class). We went to hostel by car, 11 people in one car. The hostel name Hidayah. Price was cheap, 1 room = 3 people = 90.000. 

Evening, we wanted go to Tamansari. We didn’t care about heavy rain. Girls bring umbrellas, boys bring nothing. We walked to Tamansari and unfortunately it’s closed. We sat in post batik with merchant of gulali, waited for clear sky.

Then, suddenly we meet with guide of Tamansari. He guided us around Tamansari. 7 hidden places in Tamansari, kampung Taman. There are: Tamansari, underground mosque, underground alley, king toilet, coin’s well, kitchen palace, and parlor palace. Guide said that a long ago this area (taman sari and kampong taman) is a water palace. So, we should use boat to the water palace. Then, a disaster made dam broken. Since that, water palace changed to be kampung Taman.
